About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Akamai Subject Matter Expert (SME) to help push the boundaries of Edge Computing for Princess Cruises. This role goes far beyond traditional CDN configuration — you will be owning and engineering the entry point of a large-scale digital ecosystem that serves millions of users globally.Our environment focuses on low latency, high performance, security, and next-gen edge technologies, including AI at the Edge.Key Responsibilities1. Edge Computing & AI at the EdgeImplement and optimize the latest Akamai AI inference capabilities directly at the edge.Deploy and manage models running closer to customers to reduce latency.2. Serverless Logic (EdgeWorkers)Architect, develop, and manage complex Akamai EdgeWorkers.Offload logic from the origin infrastructure to improve reliability, reduce load, and enable real-time personalization.3. Traffic Engineering & PerformanceCreate advanced Forwarding Rules, Phased Release policies, and routing strategies.Ensure minimal latency and maximum availability for millions of users.4. Next-Gen SecurityLead Akamai WAF and Bot Manager strategies.Build robust security layers for a high-traffic global platform.Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance and best practices.5.
