AutoCAD Customization/Integration EngineerTimings: 2:00 PM-11:00 PM ISTEmployment Mode : Open to both Full Time Employment or ContractDuration: Multi-Year Long TermOur client, a leading modular Home Builder based in US is looking for a AutoCAD Customization/Integration Engineer to help build integrations from AutoCAD MEP to PTC Windchill+ for manufactured housing design and engineering workflows. This role is essential to build seamless data exchange between their Design Authoring environment (AutoCAD) and product lifecycle management system (Windchill) across multiple manufacturing plants.Technical expertise in C# and AutoLISP or ObjectARX is mandatory.The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience on AutoCAD customization, with the ability to understand complex manufacturing workflows in the modular construction industry.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelopmentDesign, develop, and implement bidirectional integrations between PTC Windchill+ and AutoCAD MEP using Windchill APIs, REST services, and AutoCAD using .NET API (C#), AutoLISP, or ObjectARXBuild automated workflows for CAD file check-in/check-out, revision management, and metadata synchronization between systemsDevelop custom AutoCAD plugins and tools to streamline designer workflows and enforce PLM-driven design standardsImplement Bill of Materials (BOM) extraction from AutoCAD drawings and synchronization with Windchill E-BOM structuresCreate automated processes for handling design variants, options, and plant-specific configurationsArchitectureWork with PLM Partner with Engineering, PLM, and Data workstream teams to understand requirements and translate them architects to design scalable integration patterns that support 50+ manufacturing plantsOptimize data transfer mechanisms to handle large CAD drawing packages efficientlyImplement error handling, logging, and monitoring for integration processesEnsure integration reliability and data integrity across system boundariesSupportinto technical solutionsProvide training guides for CAD designers and engineers on proper use of integrated workflowsDocument integration architecture, APIs, configuration procedures, and troubleshooting guidesSupport go-live activities and provide post-implementation support across plant rolloutsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSTechnical SkillsStrong experience with AutoCAD customization experience using (C#), AutoLISP, or ObjectARXExperience with AutoCAD MEP or similar discipline-specific AutoCAD variantsExperience with Windchill APIs, Web Services developmentUnderstanding of PLM concepts including BOMs, change management, revision control, and product structuresProficiency in REST/SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formatsWorking knowledge of SQL and database conceptsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex system interactionsExcellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in manufactured housing, modular construction, or similar discrete manufacturing industriesBackground in architectural or construction drawing standardsKnowledge of CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) systems and product configuration managementExperience with PTC ThingWorx or other Windchill extension frameworksUnderstanding of Agile development methodologies
