We are supporting a leading steel manufacturing group in Oman with multiple hiring requirements across their procurement function. These roles are critical to ensuring uninterrupted production through robust sourcing, cost control, and supplier management.Selected candidates must be open to relocating to Oman.Open Positions Purchase Manager – MSM (Muscat)| 1 Position Purchase Assistant – MSM (Muscat)| 1 Position Purchase Assistant – MSRM (Buraimi)| 1 PositionRole Overview These roles will manage and support end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and services essential to steel manufacturing operations. The focus is on supplier coordination, commercial negotiations, ERP-driven purchasing, and cross-functional collaboration with production, warehouse, logistics, quality, and finance teams. Key Responsibilities Handle procurement of steel raw materials (scrap, ferroalloys), consumables, spares, and industrial supplies Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers Prepare RFQs, purchase orders, and maintain accurate ERP documentation Track deliveries, manage follow-ups, and mitigate supply delays Ensure compliance with company policies, Oman regulations, import/export procedures, and Incoterms Monitor market trends, control costs, and support continuous improvement in procurement efficiency Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and performance metrics Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field Purchase Manager:10+ years of procurement experience, preferably within steel or heavy manufacturing Purchase Assistant:5+ years of procurement experience (steel sector exposure strongly preferred) Strong negotiation, coordination, and analytical skills Hands-on experience with ERP systems and solid MS Office proficiency Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple stakeholders Location:Muscat & Buraimi, Oman Relocation to Oman is mandatory If you bring hands-on procurement experience from the steel or industrial manufacturing sector and are ready to take on a regional opportunity, we’d like to connect.
