Location: Remote (India) Compensation: ₹25,000 - 30,000 INR per month Shift: Early Morning / Day Shift About the Role We are seeking a dependable and highly professional Virtual Medical Assistant (VMA) with experience in front desk operations and after-hours medical office calling for a US-based medical practice. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and compassion in patient interactions. A medical background is preferred. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between patients and clinic providers by managing calls, documenting accurately, and following established triage protocols. Key Responsibilities Handle incoming patient calls with professionalism, empathy, and a patient-first approach. Assess caller needs and provide appropriate responses based on clinic guidelines and protocols. Escalate urgent issues to the on-call provider and ensure timely follow-up when required. Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling based on clinic preferences. Document all patient interactions clearly and accurately within the EHR system. Review and update patient charts as needed to support care coordination. Assist with medication refill requests, message forwarding, and administrative tasks. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies. Communicate effectively with providers and clinic staff to ensure seamless operations. Identify recurring issues and communicate trends to leadership for process improvement. Demonstrate strong judgment and decision-making in navigating patient concerns after hours.
