At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.OVERVIEW:Position Summary:This role is primarily responsible for all accounting governance, operations and reporting across NSW Corrugate. The position's primary responsibilities include completion of monthly general ledger reconciliations. Completion of the annual budget process, full year forecasts and completing mid-month estimates as well as month end. Assuring compliance with local government contracts by generating and providing reports on regular basis as required. The role is operational and requires an individual who can adapt to multi-tasking on a daily basis.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparation & Reporting of Results (Month End & Mid Month)- Manage monthly financial closing and reporting process. - Update current month financial outlook with mid-month estimate. - Completion & submission of various reports in a timely manner. - Explanation of variances to budget, last forecast, last month and last year where necessary. - Engage with commercial team to ensure accurate accruals for rebates, incentives and other customer account adjustments. - Prepare and collate reconciliations for major costing elements (e.g., weekly payroll).Forecasting & Budgeting:- Preparation and completion of Full Year Forecast. - Preparation and completion of Annual Budget. - Analysis and review of results during forecasts and budgets. - Support business stakeholders formulation of annual budget, subsequent forecasts and the 5 year plan.General Ledger & Balance Sheet Governance:- Review and maintain GL and complete all balance sheet reconciliations with follow up and resolution of variances. - Preparation of financial journals and statistical/key performance indicators. - Prepare and process standing and ad hoc journal entries. - Maintain Fixed Assets register and oversee the conduct of fixed asset counts in accordance with Visy policy. - Manage cost centre reporting and commentary for plant operations. Identify and investigate variances. Work with line managers to track and control spend.Internal Controls & Audit:- Monitor and adjust all inventory loss/obsolescence provisions in accordance with Visy policy. - Adjust finished goods valuations to comply with NRV and Standard to actual accounting principles. - Ensure that all Visy Industries policies & procedures are complied with, including all national, state & site OH&S policies. - Ensure Integrity of Audited Accounting and Financial Results. - Apply annual standard costing process to revalue finished goods. - Adjust specific product costings and cost new products as required.Business Partnering:- Provide data driven analytical support to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision making with clear financial expectations. - Assist in financial analyses as required across all functional areas. - Support business stakeholders in assessment and tracking of continuous improvement and PIP opportunities. - Assist with the management of purchase orders and requisitions through ongoing review and correction of commitments reports. - Engage with business stakeholders to ensure they complete all inventory count procedures in accordance with Visy policy and then adjust inventory financials accordingly (Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Stores, Returnable Packaging).Continuous Improvement:- Continuously drive process improvements across all areas of responsibility. - Support operations in achieving continuous improvement of business processes and controls.General Duties:- Preparation of CAPEX. - Monitoring of project progress. - To take on projects from time to time as directed.KEY RELATIONSHIPS:- Reporting into: NSW State Accountant - Direct reports (Your team): NA - Internal to Visy: Visy Finance and Shared services teams, Site Managers and their teams, National Managers and their teams. - External to Visy: External auditors, Suppliers, Customers.KEY REQUIREMENTSExperience and qualifications:- Mandatory (critical for the role): Tertiary level qualification, CPA Qualified, Minimum 5 years experience working in finance & accounting roles, Manufacturing environment background. - Desirable (preferable for the role): Experience in Recycling business, SAP experience, Hyperion experience.Skills (technical, business, leadership:- Excellent multi-level communication, interpersonal and business partnering skills. - Ability to analyse data and identify and resolve variances. - Ability to influence plant employees. - Problem solving skills. - Ability to priorities work and demands. - Ability to work across cultural boundaries and respect cultural differences. - Strong change management skills. - Ability to educate others in matters impacting finance. - Highly developed analytical skills. - Attention to detail. - Excellent organisational and prioritising skills. - High level of process ownership. - Tenacity to pursue an outcome. - Facilitation of continuous improvement projects.
