Job Description

Brief Overview: Our Investment Banking team is one of India’s most niche and focused investment banking teams. We provide a wide range of services – capital raising from private equity/venture capital funds, mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, financial advisory, IPO advisory and strategic investments – to a diversified, food and agri sector client base of mid-to-large corporates and startups.About the Role - Principal accountability: • Responsible for end-to-end deal execution for multiple transactions in the food & agri space • To be actively involved at every stage of the transaction, leading the transaction until it gets closed (client visits, meetings, collateral preparation, bilateral discussions, commercial negotiations, due-diligence, transaction closure agreements) • Taking lead in industry research, market mapping, preparing mandate pitches, client interface • Having good grasp on latest sector trends and offerings in the market • Proficiency in developing financial model, information memorandums, valuations & valuation scenarios • Assisting in identification of business opportunities & associated business development initiatives • Managing client relationships along with the manager • Ability to train and manage teamsCandidate’s profile: • 6-10 years of exp. in Investment Banking • Strong understanding of private equity/venture capital syndication, strategic investments, M&A, and other financial advisory transactions • MBA from Tier- I institutes • Technical / conceptual understanding of finance & valuations • Strong blend of analytical skills and excellent verbal/ written communication skills • Deal handling & closure experience • Excellent eye for details • Willingness to travel (domestic / international), as required, for transaction execution • Past experience in food and agri sectors would be an added advantage altough this is not mandatory
