Data Centre, Pneumatics and Hydraulics. Job description What You Will Do Reporting to the Head of Department – Nautical and working with course-in-charge and program heads:• To provide training and implementation of quality standards in assigned training courses.• Carry out skill based and technical training to officers on various shipboard operations.• Conduct Simulator based training for Deck officers at different competence levels.• Preparation of course documentation and various training exercises and prepare the training course documentation after the completion of the course. Up-dating and revising of course Master files, participants handout, prepare use and update PPTs, relevant videos, exercises, tests, incorporating new regulations, best industry practices and new training material received.• Ensure that the courses being conducted and adhere to the course plan, timetable and the faculty imparting the training are delivering to the highest quality as per the Detailed Teaching Syllabus and Lesson Plan. Monitoring the complete course documentation. Involve in updating and revising the course materials and in development of Computer based Training modules.• Handling of Non- compliances. To identify and record all deficiencies related to training activities and to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities related to training activities in consultation with Programme Head.• Conduct Verification and review of courses and review and discuss course participant’s feedback. What We Are Looking For/ Candidate Qualification (includes professional, leadership, soft skills required)1. Master Mariner Class 1 – COC from India / UK.2. With min. 1 year command experience of a foreign going vessel, preference for experience on: • LNG / LPG / Parcel Chemical Tankers. • Bulk carrier with Great Lakes and Ice / Polar Navigation experience.3. Experience in Ship operation, ship repair, teaching, auditing and inspections preferred.4. Training for Trainers and Assessors (TOTA) or Vertical Integration Course for Trainers (VICT) to do before joining.5. Other ISO / ISM / Technical Value-added courses.6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.7. Should be interested in modern teaching methodologies.8. Candidate must have a passion for learning continuously and a desire to be in the teaching profession.9. Proficient in use of computers and savvy with use of various software.
