Job Description

Job Title: Financial Systems AdministratorNexteer is looking for an innovative, self-starting individual who is interested in the fast-paced environment of a tier one automotive supplier. This position requires an individual who can successfully identify and meet the expectations of the Corporate Finance professionals as well as ensure audit grade reporting and adherence to relevant finance policy while meeting the timing and uptime requirements of the monthly close cycle. The ideal candidate will have HFM, Hyperion Planning, and BlackLine experience, the ability to ensure the integrity of the chart of accounts and maintain effective systems governance for regulated financial reporting.Work Location: BangaloreWork Timings: 2pm IST – 11pm ISTKey Responsibilities – HFM and Hyperion Planning:- System Administration & Maintenance - Manage and maintain HFM applications, including configuration, updates, and performance tuning. - Manage metadata and application elements including member lists, rules, FDMEE/Data Management, Metadata Management, SmartView, and Reporting - Set up and maintain user access through Hyperion Shared Services, ensuring proper role assignments and security protocols. - Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring minimal downtime. - Monitor system performance and implement improvements. - Financial Reporting & Data Integrity - Create and maintain standard reports using SmartView and Financial Reporting tools. - Ensure data accuracy and integrity in compliance with SOX and other regulatory standards. - Support financial planning and consolidation processes across divisions. - Integrate business processes into Hyperion workflows and ensure seamless data flow between systems. - Process Optimization & Support - Collaborate with finance and IT teams to align system capabilities with business needs. - Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. - Provide technical support and training to end-users. - Documentation & Compliance - Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and controls. - Support internal and external audits by providing evidence of control performance.Key Responsibilities – Blackline:- System Administration: - Manage user access, roles, and permissions within BlackLine. - Configure and maintain account reconciliations, journal entries, task management, and other modules. - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. - Process Optimization: - Collaborate with accounting teams to streamline workflows and improve automation. - Identify opportunities for efficiency and implement best practices within BlackLine. - Support & Training: - Provide end-user support and training for new features and processes. - Develop and maintain documentation for system processes and procedures. - Integration & Data Management: - Work with IT and ERP teams to ensure seamless data integration between BlackLine and financial systems (e.g., QAD, SAP, and Oracle). - Validate data accuracy and completeness in reconciliations and reports. - Compliance & Controls: - Ensure BlackLine configurations support internal controls and audit requirements. - Assist with SOX compliance and reporting as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications- Strong experience with Oracle Hyperion applications (Planning, Essbase, HFM) - Familiarity with Microsoft SQL, Access, and other database tools - Ability to manage data integration and transformation processes - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills - Demonstrated project management success in coordinating cross functional, global activities to meet compliance requirements - Power user of ERP systems and exposure to rules development, preferably Oracle products (with past implementation experience a big plus) - Demonstrated elevated level of people skills to work effectively with others - Demonstrated elevated levels of analytical ability where problems are complex - Personal / professional skills and stature to quickly gain respect and build strong working relationships, not only at the senior levels of Nexteer, but throughout the organization. - Strong self-starting initiative and innovative attitude - Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Excellent PC/computer skills - Knowledge and understanding of corporate/unit reporting policies and procedures preferred - Work Schedule & Time Zone Coordination: - This role is based in India and requires regular collaboration with teams and leadership located in the Eastern Time Zone (ET), United States as well as collaboration with teams in Poland, Morocco, China, and India. - Candidates must be comfortable working flexible hours to accommodate meetings and deadlines aligned with U.S. business hours. - A portion of the workday will overlap with ET all the time Zones.
