Position: WordPress DeveloperLocation: FLAME University, Pune (Lavale Campus)Department: Digital MediaAbout the RoleFLAME University is seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with 3-5 years of hands-on expertise in WordPress development, PHP, and front-end technologies. The candidate will work closely with Digital Media teams to build, customize, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.Key Responsibilities- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins using PHP - Build responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap - Create and modify custom themes and child themes - Integrate and configure third-party plugins and tools - Ensure website performance, security, scalability, and SEO best practices - Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement designs accurately - Troubleshoot, debug, and update existing WordPress sites - Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code - Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness - Support forms, analytics tracking, and marketing integrationsTechnical Skills RequiredBackend- Strong proficiency in PHP - In-depth WordPress experience (theme and plugin development, custom post types, ACF) - Knowledge of MySQL / MariaDBFrontend- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript - Proficiency in Bootstrap and jQuery - Expertise in responsive and mobile-first designAdditional Skills (Preferred)- Understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager - Experience with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery) - Knowledge of UI/UX design principlesSoft Skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines - Self-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
