Role: SAP MM Lead Architect Location: Hyderabad (Work from Office, 5 days a week) Shift Timing: Standard IST Shift, 10.00 AM to 07.00 PM IST Notice Period: Immediate joiner (Or up to 15 days) Job Description: Role OverviewThe SAP MM Lead Architect is responsible for driving end‑to‑end solution design, overseeing L2 changes, guiding the AMS team, validating project requirements, and ensuring timely delivery. The role requires strong functional expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to simplify and optimize processes while maintaining excellent communication with business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Solution Design & Architecture Lead SAP MM solution architecture aligned with business processes and enterprise standards. Validate project requirements, assess feasibility, and translate them into scalable MM solutions. Provide expert inputs and effort estimates for enhancements, projects, and change requests. Ensure integration alignment with SD, PP, WM, FI, QM, Ariba, and other modules. Collaborate closely with business teams for effective requirement validation. L2 Change Management Own and manage L2 functional changes including analysis, design, testing, and deployment. Review and approve functional specifications. Drive closure of incidents and service requests within SLA timelines. Perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes. Ensure structured change governance in line with ITIL processes. Team Leadership & AMS Governance Lead and mentor the SAP MM AMS team for high‑quality delivery. Coordinate with cross‑functional teams for issue resolution and project execution. Monitor workload, priorities, and team performance. Ensure adherence to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Process Improvement & Optimization Drive lean and simplified MM processes across procurement, inventory, and logistics. Identify automation and optimization opportunities. Standardize templates, documentation, and best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with transformation goals. Champion simplification and standardization across MM operations. Project Delivery Support end‑to‑end project lifecycle including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go‑live. Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements. Coordinate UAT cycles and ensure timely defect resolution. Prepare cutover plans and deployment strategies. Ensure predictable, high‑quality delivery across MM initiatives. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of SAP MM experience with strong hands‑on configuration skills. Deep understanding of procurement, inventory, and logistics processes. Experience handling AMS teams and L2/L3 support environments. Strong knowledge of integration points with SD, PP, WM, FI, and Ariba. Experience in S/4HANA (preferred). Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Ability to drive process simplification and continuous improvement. Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
