The AVP – Sales (US Market) will lead the Towels & Bath Rugs business for key retail partners including Costco USA & International, Big Lots USA, and Amazon USA & EU (Seller Central & Vendor Central). The role is responsible for end-to-end P&L ownership, revenue and margin growth, business planning, demand forecasting, and driving strategic initiatives across innovation, sustainability, and data analytics. The position requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and deep understanding of US retail, supply chain & digital commerce.Key Responsibilities1. Business & P&L Management- Own full P&L responsibility for Towels & Bath Rugs business across US market. - Drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth for the category. - Develop robust annual/quarterly business plans; ensure adequate capacity allocation across manufacturing units. - Monitor gross margins, pricing strategies, trade spends, and cost efficiencies.2. Customer & Category Management- Lead sales strategy and JBP (Joint Business Planning) with key retailers. - Track consumer insights and trends within the Towels & Bath Rugs category to identify new business opportunities. - Conduct ongoing competitive scans of online & offline retail landscapes to assess threats, white spaces, and growth opportunities. - Drive assortment optimization and innovation pipelines tailored to retailer requirements.3. Retailer Initiatives & Strategic Projects- Champion retailer-focused initiatives across sustainability, circularity, traceability (including blockchain initiatives), and product innovation. - Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams (Product Development, Sustainability, QA, Supply Chain) to deliver aligned outcomes.4. Supply Chain, Forecasting & Replenishment- Work closely with the Supply Chain Planning team for accurate forecasting and replenishment, especially for VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) orders. - Ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery performance; resolve supply bottlenecks proactively. - Identify inventory optimization opportunities across US warehouses using advanced analytics.5. Data Analytics Leadership- Lead and promote the data analytics practice within Welspun for Sales, Supply Chain, Promotions, and Assortment Planning. - Pitch advanced analytics capabilities to US retailers to unlock opportunities in CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment), VMI & Joint Sales Promotion Planning. - Ensure teams are trained in using forecasting tools, dashboards, and BI systems for data-led decision making.6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management- Lead and mentor the Sales & Merchandising teams to deliver business goals. - Engage with global retail partners, supply chain teams, merchandising, manufacturing units, and leadership to enable seamless execution.
