At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.Position Summary:The position's primary responsibilities include the ownership and management of all Visy Recycling’s centrally managed accounting tasks, as well as the planning and reporting function. This includes business analysis, monthly reporting, mid-month estimate forecasting, and annual budget planning.The role is also required to assist and support the finance team, particularly the Planning and Reporting Manager and the General Manager of Finance, with projects aimed at continuous improvement and adding value to the Visy Recycling division.Visy Recycling employs a team of 700 people across 50 sites in Australia and New Zealand and generates approximately $300m AUD in revenue.Key Responsibilities:Planning & Reporting Process:- Coordinate and assist the planning and financial reporting function for Visy Recycling division - Coordinate and manage the monthly mid-month estimate, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and timeliness - Complete centralized finance tasks and processes, coordinating with finance stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand - Complete and coordinate all bridging, analysis, explanations, and presentations for: - Budget review processes - Mid-month estimates - Month-end divisional office–owned tasks - Validate all planning datasets including P&L, Balance Sheet, statistical figures - Support annual budget and full year forecast activities - Support monthly 18-month rolling forecastMonthly Reporting:- Preparation, maintenance, and oversight of all daily, weekly, and monthly management reporting including: - End-of-month reporting packs - Inventory reports - Daily production statistics - Mid-month estimates - Variance analysis and interpretation of monthly reports for the division - Cost control and monitoring for the divisional head officeSystem Functionality:- Maintain Hyperion reporting system including: - Understanding process flows, scripts, business rules - Working with Visy IT to ensure efficient system performance - Writing financial reports as required - Leading system functionality enhancements and improvement projects - Acting as the local administrator for the Blackline reconciliation system - Assisting in forensic transaction analysis as neededDivisional Accounting:- Ensure VR ledgers comply with corporate policies and accounting standards - Review state balance sheets on a rotating schedule to identify risk areas and implement corrective actions - Manage and report VR Head Office P&L and Balance Sheet - Verify fixed assets on a rotating schedule to ensure accuracy of the fixed asset register - Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and analysis for senior management - Review plant audits, stocktakes, self-assessments, and general ledger reconciliations - Support external and internal audit follow-up - Conduct plant visits as requiredGeneral Responsibilities:- Engage with VR teams to support analysis including volumes, sales, capital expenditure, and expense control - Partner with finance and IT teams to improve reporting systems and processes - Build and maintain strong working relationships within Visy Recycling and other Visy businesses to support revenue and profitability targets - Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance VR’s accounting processes and controlsKey Requirements:Experience and Qualifications:Mandatory:- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or related discipline - CPA / CA qualified (or equivalent) - Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance and accounting roles - Demonstrated experience in planning/reporting processes in medium to large organizations - Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelDesirable:- Experience in manufacturing or corporate environment - Experience in recycling business - Medium proficiency in Microsoft Access - High proficiency in Oracle Hyperion Planning - SAP experienceSkills (Technical, Business, Leadership):- Leadership, business, and commercial management ability - Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - Strong presentation and reporting skills
