Job Description

Job Title: GM finance & accountingLocation: Corporate Office, RaipurReporting To: CFO / Managing DirectorJob Summary: The candidate will be a key member of the senior management team, responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. This includes strategic financial planning, overseeing the accounts department, ensuring statutory compliance, managing banking operations including term loans and working capital, taxation, audits, and financial reporting. The role demands a high level of integrity, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of finance in the steel manufacturing sector.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Financial Leadership • Advise the management on long-term financial planning and risk management. • Provide inputs on investment decisions, expansion strategies, and cost optimization.2. Banking & Fund Management • Handle all banking operations including negotiation and renewal of Term Loans (TL) and Cash Credit (CC) limits. • Ensure compliance with banking covenants, timely submission of stock statements, CMA data, and other required documents. • Maintain good relationships with banks and financial institutions for efficient fund management.3. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance • Supervise all direct and indirect tax matters including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Excise where applicable. • Ensure timely filing of returns and statutory payments. • Coordinate with consultants and tax authorities as required.4. Accounting & Day-to-Day Finance Operations • Oversee all financial transactions and ensure accuracy in daily entries. • Supervise the finance team to maintain proper books of accounts in compliance with applicable standards. • Monitor day-to-day cash flow and working capital utilization.5. Financial Reporting & Balance Sheet Finalization • Lead the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Ensure accuracy and timely closure of books and preparation of balance sheets. • Coordinate consolidation across group entities if applicable.6. Audit & Internal Controls • Lead internal, statutory, cost, and tax audits with auditors. • Implement and maintain internal control systems to prevent fraud and financial misstatements. • Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and compliance with audit recommendations.7. Team Management & Development • Lead and mentor the accounts and finance team across corporate and plant locations. • Implement training and upskilling programs for the finance department.8. ERP and System Oversight • Ensure smooth functioning of Lighthouse ERP and its effective utilization for financial control. • Collaborate with IT for system improvements and automation of financial processes.9. Other Responsibilities • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, ROC filings, and Board-related financial reports. • Liaison with consultants, legal and secretarial advisors as required. • Handle any additional responsibility as assigned by management from time to timeQualifications & Experience:• Chartered Accountant (CA) is a must; additional qualifications like MBA Finance preferred.• 5-10 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably steel.• Strong experience in financial strategy, taxation, banking, and audits.Skills Required:• Strong leadership and team management abilities• In-depth knowledge of Indian financial laws, taxation, and banking norms• Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (preferably Lighthouse ERP)For applying kindly contactGroup HRAnkita (+91 6232-025718)Email - recruitment@
