This role is ideal for aseasoned QA professionalwith deep expertise inembedded systems, firmware testing, debugging, and hardware-software integration . As a key member of our team, you will collaborate withcross-functional engineering teamsto ensure world-class product quality, reliability, and performance, while driving innovation in QA processes and methodologies.Key Responsibilities Work withnew and emerging technologiescritical to embedded product development. Collaborate closely withfirmware, software, and hardware engineering teamsto ensure seamless integration and high-quality outcomes. Reviewuser stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirementswith a customer-first mindset to ensure clarity, consistency, and testability. Partner with cross-functional product teams tovalidate requirementsand ensure they can be effectively tested. Work alongside firmware engineers to understand design solutions and provideconstructive feedback earlyin the development cycle. Participate indesign discussions, UI/API reviews, firmware architecture reviews , and test case review sessions. Translate high-level product and system requirements intodetailed test scenarios, comprehensive test plans, and structured test cases . Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinateall testing activities across releases. Executefunctional, integration, regression, and system-level testingfor embedded firmware. Log, track, and manage defects inJIRA , ensuring thorough regression testing after resolution. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams toanalyze system behavior and identify root causesof issues. Prepareaccurate test status reports, quality metrics, and release readiness documentationfor leadership. Continuously research and adoptnew tools, technologies, and testing processesto enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness.Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inElectrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science , or a related field. 10+ years of hands-on experiencein embedded firmware/software QA and/or firmware development. Strong expertise intesting embedded firmware, microcontrollers, RTOS-based systems, wireless devices, and hardware-software integration . In-depth understanding ofembedded system architecture, communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, Wi-Fi), and firmware-hardware interaction . Proven experience designing and executingunit, integration, system, and regression test casesfor firmware-driven products. Hands-on experience withfirmware debugging tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers , and other EE-level diagnostics. Expertise inroot cause analysis, test failure investigation, and log/system trace analysis . Ability to convertrequirements into clear, detailed test plans, scenarios, and validation strategies . Proficiency inPython, shell scripting , or other scripting languages for test automation. Strong working knowledge ofUnix/Linux systems, command-line tools, and system-level debugging . Experience withJira, Confluence , or similar project and defect management tools. Excellentverbal and written communication skills , with the ability to provide clear technical feedback. Stronganalytical thinking, critical reasoning, problem-solving , and attention to detail. Self-motivated, fast learner, and capable of workingindependently and collaborativelyin cross-functional teams. Enthusiastic about exploringnew tools, technologies, and testing methodologies .
