As part of our global expansion — particularly into the U.S. and developed markets.Smartbox is building a new suite of mobile applications designed to simplify complex workflows, enhance user experience, and bring greater control and intelligence to our ecosystemBroad Function:We are looking for a Senior UI/UX Product Designer who can take complete ownership of end-to-end mobile app design — from early user journeys to high-fidelity interfaces and developer-ready specifications.This role is ideal for a designer who has previously shaped mobile apps that are currently in use, and who enjoys converting high-level ideas into clean, intuitive, and practical user experiencePurpose of the Role:To lead the end-to-end design of our mobile app by translating product vision into intuitive user experiences and high-quality interfaces that enhance usability, engagement, and overall product value.Roles and Responsibilities:User Experience Design- Lead the full UX process: user flows, journey mapping, IA (information architecture), wireframes. - Understand operational workflows and simplify them into intuitive mobile experiences. - Structure multi-role access flows for managers, technicians, and administrators. - Convert product goals into actionable UX frameworks with minimal supervision.User Interface Design- Create polished, modern, and consistent interfaces for enterprise and consumer-grade usage. - Build and maintain a comprehensive design system for app consistency. - Deliver pixel-perfect screens and components using Figma.Prototyping & Validation- Build interactive prototypes for internal demos, testing, and feedback cycles. - Iterate quickly while maintaining clarity and design integrity.Collaboration & Handover- Work closely with product and engineering teams to clarify flows and expectations. - Prepare developer-ready specifications with annotations, assets, and guidelines. - Support engineering during implementation to ensure accurate translation of designs.Product Thinking- Understand broader product strategy and align UX decisions accordingly. - Recommend improvements that enhance usability and reduce friction. - Bring structure and clarity to abstract or evolving product ideas.Portfolio Requirement:- Candidates must share a portfolio or case study that includes: - Complete mobile app design work - User journeys and flows - Wireframes and interactive prototypes - High-fidelity UI screens - Explanation of design decisions and thought process - Links or screenshots of apps currently in use (where applicable)Portfolios focused only on visual design without UX thinking will not be considered.Desired Qualifications & Experience:- 8–12 years of professional experience in UI/UX or digital product design. - Experience working on mobile applications actively used by customers. - Strong background in designing apps involving multi-step workflows or multi-role user interactions. - Expert proficiency in Figma, Strong in journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and design systems. - Ability to create developer-friendly documentation. - Familiarity with design thinking and user-centered methodologies. - High ownership and clarity in communication, strong product mindset and problem-solving skills. - Effective collaboration with engineering and leadership. - Clear, intuitive, and efficient mobile journeys that reduce operational friction. - High-fidelity designs ready for engineering without ambiguity. - A consistent design language across all Smartbox mobile apps. - Positive collaboration with product and engineering teams.The company offers a range of employee benefits including:- Cashless medical insurance for employees, spouses, and children - Accidental insurance coverage - Life insurance coverage - Retirement benefits including Provident Fund (PF) and Gratuity - ESI* - Sodexo benefits for income tax savings - Paternity & Maternity Leave Benefit - EL encashment
