Education & Qualifications- Master’s degree in Agribusiness Management/ Food Technology/ Horticulture or related fieldExperience Requirements- The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in post-harvest management and the food processing sector: - Relevant Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in food processing or post-harvest technology related projects.Scope of WorkThe Food Processing Expert will be responsible for strategizing, developing, and ensuring compliance for food processing initiatives across the state:- Value Addition Strategy: Develop value addition and processing strategies specifically for fruits, vegetables, and spices. - Project Development: Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for processing units, structuring them under government and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models. - Quality & Compliance: Ensure stringent food safety compliance with mandatory regulations and standards such as FSSAI and ISO standards. - Post-Harvest Systems Design: Design and implement efficient post-harvest handling systems, including solutions for grading, sorting, and packaging. - Logistics & Loss Reduction: Coordinate with cold storage and logistics providers to strategically reduce post-harvest losses. - Branding & Market Access: Promote effective branding and marketing strategies for processed products in both domestic and international markets. - Capacity Building: Train farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and entrepreneurs in relevant processing technologies.
