Job Description – Sr. SAP BW/HANA Consultant Purpose The technical consultant takes up the responsibility of understanding business requirement, interaction with stakeholders from business domains whenever required, takes end-to-end ownership to provide quality technical solutions as per business requirement.Technical Skills(Must Have – Based on BW4HANA) Understanding and building Standard and custom SAP BW and BW4HANA Extractors Developing end-to-end dataflows in SAP BW and SAP BW4HANA Hands-on experience in HANA modelling Requirement understanding & data gathering in SAP BW and SAP BW4HANA Perform root cause analysis & impact assessments Hands-on experience in moving the BW4HANA and Native HANA objects through the landscape Responsible for technical design and implementation in coordination with functional consultants and business Good to have SAP ABAP expertise (only relevant to BW4) Hands-on experience in working with CDS View Understanding of AMDP Performance tuning of the existing routines Understanding of Reporting Tools like SAC/PowerBI Basic understanding of DatasphereAreas of Responsibility Thorough understanding of respective Business Domains Thorough understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release management processes Thorough understanding of application architecture, deployments, monitoring, health checks Reporting all the weekly tasks in form of accurate and detailed reports Will be responsible for design, development, and delivery of the assigned area of work Act as a point of contact for the client for any issues that occur in assigned area of work To communicate with Business Stakeholders from time to time on the progress of tasks Knowledge and Skills SAP BW4HANA 2.0 SAP BW SAP HANA Modelling SQL Scripting Analysis for Office Performance Tuning Troubleshooting Awareness of authorization roles Technical Competencies Basic ECC & EWM4HANA knowledge/skills Should be able to work independently Should ensure knowledge documentation May have to coordinate and communicate directly with client/business users as per the job requirements Should ensure solution quality of tickets Ability to prioritize the work as per the project needs
