Job Description

Job Purpose:We are seeking a candidate to be part of a team focused on innovation in formulation technology including drone applicable, nano technology. The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and be engaged in targeted formulation development and optimization.Responsibilities:- Design and implement experiments for the formulation specially for Drone application and characterization of surfactant, polymer, lipid and other delivery chemistry for in drone application. - Formulation and characterization of drone ready formulation for platform build and project support - Lead and participate in the assessment and development of early-stage formulation development activities, including targeted drone application. - Design and implement experiments for the formulation and characterization of polymeric, liposomal, lipid and other nanoparticles for in pesticide delivery. - Formulation and characterization of lipid nanoparticles for platform build and project support - Lead and participate in the assessment and development of early-stage nanoparticle formulation development activities, including targeted therapies. - Build an understanding of structure-activity relationships around abrasive particle, polymer, and small molecule slurry components in the context of nano-formulation technology - Characterization of nanoparticle-based formulation with analytical method, bio-assays, molecular biology methods, spectroscopy, etc. - Understanding the complex modules of drone technology for agricultural purpose with special emphasis in Indian market - Build an understanding of structure-activity relationships around abrasive particle, polymer, and small molecule slurry components in context to areal application ex. Drone. - Characterization of formulation with analytical method, bio-assays, molecular biology methods, spectroscopy, etc. - Apply lab-based methods to screen additives, probe mechanism of action, and ensure product robustness using your expertise and statistically robust experimental designs. - Analyse outcomes of experiments using advanced statistical tools and be able to use those results to logically plan future experiments. - Create technical presentations to be shared within R&D, internal stakeholders, and customers.Education- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Physical Chemistry - Post-doctoral experience in reputed university/Industrial Post-doctoral experience - Previous experience and technical proficiency in the physical characterization of nanoparticles, including particle sizing - 15 years’ Experience in formulation science either in agriculture, drug delivery or skin care product with specialty in nano-formulation is preferredDesired Skill Set- Familiarity with lab-scale nanoparticle preparation techniques, including microfluidics technology - Experience in formulation science in agriculture with specialty in nano drone applied formulation would be a plus - Clear understanding of physical and chemical parameters ex. Contact angle, surface tension, capillary action, movement of active through leaf surface etc. - Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot formulation for Drone application, fabrication processes and scale-up issues - Strong ability to design, execute, and analyses experiments that elucidate key function, mechanisms, or properties of chemical additives. - Experience working with polymers, surfactants, or particles within a laboratory environment. - Experience with a variety of analytical techniques including UV, Fluorescence, HPLC, LCMS, CE, GC, NMR, KF, IR, DSC. Experience with various biophysical and light scattering techniques (DLS, NTA, Coulter Counter, etc.) - Demonstrated independence in successfully completing projects, either individually or within collaborations or research groups - Proven experience in planning, executing, and documenting a set of activities or tasks in a timely manner. - Demonstrated effective communication, both written and verbally, within core research group and to an outside audience - Participation in safety initiatives and a strong dedication to a safety-first culture
