As we expand our platform into an AI-native procurement operating system, we’re looking for anEngineering Managerwho combines strong technical depth with exceptional people and delivery leadership. This is a role for someone who thrives in high-velocity, high-impact environments — someone who can architect complex systems, coach and grow engineers, and drive execution across multiple product lines. You will work closely with Product, Design, Data, and GTM teams, and play a pivotal role in shaping the technical backbone of our next stage of growth. This is a full-time, in-office role based at our HQ in Gurugram.What will you do:Technical Leadership Lead architecture, design, and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems across our core procurement platform. Own technical decision-making across multiple product pods; enforce engineering best practices, code quality, and architectural consistency. Work hands-on where needed to unblock teams, review code, design systems, and raise the engineering bar. People & Team Leadership Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Backend, Frontend, and Full-Stack Engineers. Drive hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and talent development. Build a culture of ownership, craftsmanship, speed, and healthy debate. Execution & Delivery Own end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring high-quality releases on time. Transform product requirements into technical plans, sprints, and milestones. Identify and mitigate risks early; solve problems before they escalate. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Product Managers on discovery, scoping, and prioritization. Work with Data & AI teams to integrate ML/GenAI capabilities into core workflows. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Design to ensure smooth releases and exceptional user experience.What you would bring:Technical Depth 6–12 years of engineering experience with at least 2–4 years in a leadership or EM role. Strong command over system design, distributed systems, microservices, API architectures, and cloud-native technologies (AWS/GCP). Strong backend experience (Ruby on Rails, Go, Python — any modern backend stack). Solid understanding of databases, caching, queues, CI/CD, observability, and security.Leadership & Communication Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams in a high-growth SaaS or product startup. Ability to influence without authority and align cross-functional stakeholders. Capacity to simplify complex technical concepts for business and product teams.Mindset & Culture High ownership, high velocity, and a bias for action. A builder’s mindset — comfortable with ambiguity and 0→1 problem-solving. Strong customer empathy and a desire to build category-defining products. Someone who raises the bar for the entire engineering org.
