GenAI / R&D Engineer – Requirement SummaryBelow is the consolidated summary of what the client is expecting for the GenAI + R&D Engineer role (6–10 years experience):1. Strong Hands-On Programming (Mandatory)• Must be hands-on in at least one core programming language: Python / Angular / React / Node.js.• Should be able to build backend APIs and integrate with databases.2. GenAI Skills• Strong understanding of GenAI fundamentals: RAG, embeddings, model evaluation, hallucination control.• Prompt engineering experience (very important).• Experience using AI development tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot.• Good to have: Experience with Claude / OpenAI / HuggingFace.• Ability to build custom GenAI agents and AI-driven applications.3. Cloud & DevOps (Mandatory)• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (not just deployments).• Expected knowledge: S3, Lambda, Glue, EC2, IAM, networking basics.• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.• DevOps fundamentals: Git branching, CI/CD pipelines.4. API & Database Skills• Mandatory understanding of:• REST API development• SQL / NoSQL databases• How APIs and DBs integrate with GenAI apps5. Data Engineering Basics• Ability to handle unstructured data.• ETL experience is a plus (Glue etc.).• Knowledge of vector databases like Pinecone / Chroma is beneficial.6.
