Role OverviewThe Project Controller ensures strong financial governance, accurate reporting, and commercial discipline across the lifecycle of infrastructure/EPC/renewable projects. The role drives integrated performance visibility by combining project control, FP&A, and Financial Reporting (FR) responsibilities while partnering with Project Managers and Finance leadership.Key Responsibilities⭐ Project Financial Control- Develop and manage project budgets, cost baselines, and structure of accounts. - Track expenditures vs. budget; analyze cost-to-complete and productivity trends. - Validate contractor/vendor bills including BOQ/RA bills and contractual compliance. - Perform earned value analysis and monitor working capital efficiency at site. - Ensuring consol control from project site finance.⭐ FP&A — Financial Planning & Analysis- Support annual operating plans and long-range planning for project portfolio. - Conduct scenario modeling, pricing analysis, and sensitivity analysis for risks. - Drive performance improvement through variance analysis and actionable insights.⭐ FR — Financial Reporting & Compliance- Prepare monthly MIS decks including revenue, margins, provisioning and KPIs. - Ensure accurate revenue recognition (as per Ind-AS / IFRS) and project capitalization. - Support internal, statutory and lender audits with required documentation. - Ensure compliance with finance policies, internal controls, and corporate governance.⭐ Commercial & Contract Assurance- Assist evaluation of claims, change orders, escalation events and risk sharing clauses. - Provide commercial insights during negotiations with vendors and subcontractors. - Coordinate with procurement and contracts team on commitment control and bill closure.⭐ Stakeholder & Risk Management- Provide financial decision support to Project Managers and site teams. - Escalate risks around delays, cost overruns, provisions, LDs, RoW issues and land costs. - Monitor cash positions, receivables, advances, retention, LDs and vendor exposure.Qualifications & Skills- Chartered Accountant with 3–5 years experience in: - ▸ Project Finance / Project Costing / EPC / Infrastructure / Renewables - Strong understanding of Ind-AS/IFRS, control frameworks and audit requirements. - Advanced skills in Excel, SAP and financial reporting tools. - Analytical, proactive, and strong business partnering capability.Key Success Metrics- Budget adherence and cost optimization - Billing accuracy and timely financial closure - Forecast accuracy (Revenue / Cash Flow / Margin) - Transparent and timely reporting for decision-making - Risk mitigation execution and stakeholder satisfaction
