Job Title: Asst. General Manager – OperationsLocation: Vapi, GujaratReports To: Vice President – OperationsSalary: INR 30-40 Lacs per AnnumIndustry- Chemical ManufacturingJob Summary:The Asst. General Manager – Operations will be responsible for overseeing theoverall plant operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuousimprovement in the manufacturing processes. The role demands strategicleadership, operational excellence, and expertise in specialty chemicalsmanufacturing.Key Responsibilities:1. Operational Leadership:o Manage end-to-end plant operations to ensure seamless productionand compliance with quality and safety standards.o Optimize production processes to achieve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.2. Production Management:o Oversee production planning and execution to meet business goals.o Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high-qualitystandards.3. Process Improvement & Compliance:o Implement best practices in production and safety as per industrystandards and regulatory requirements.o Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturingand Six Sigma.4. People &Team Management:o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.o Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and accountability.5. Budget & Cost Control:o Manage operational budgets efficiently.o Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality andsafety.6. Stakeholder & Vendor Management:o Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure asmooth supply chain.o Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategieswith business objectives.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):- Production Efficiency: Achieve and maintain optimal production output with minimal downtime. - Quality Standards: Maintain product quality within defined specifications and compliance. - Cost Control: Optimize production costs and reduce waste. - Safety Compliance: Ensure zero safety violations and maintain a safe work environment. - Process Improvement: Implement continuous improvement projects leading to cost savings and efficiency. - Team Development: Enhance team performance and reduce attrition through effective leadership.Qualifications &Experience:- Education: BE/BTech in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution. - Experience: Minimum 15 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in - specialty chemical manufacturing.Preferred Skills:- Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Expertise in chemical plant operations and process optimization. - Proficiency in regulatory compliance, HSE standards, and quality management. - Experience in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
