Deputy Manager / Manager – SCM Formulations (Biotechnology & Capital Items Procurement Specialist)Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SCM Capital Items Procurement Specialist with expertise in both Formulation and Biotechnology sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procuring key capital items such as Fermenters, Bioreactors, Centrifuge, Incubators, Filtration systems, Mixing vessels, Injectable lines, Lyophilizers, Autoclaves, Boilers, Chillers and biotechnology plant spares/consumables.Responsibilities- Manage the procurement of critical capital equipment for both Formulation and Biotechnology sectors. - Lead sourcing, purchasing, and ensure timely delivery of machinery and equipment. - Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors. - Oversee procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. - Handle the financial management aspect of capital expenditures, including budgeting and cost control. - Collaborate with internal teams to understand equipment requirements and ensure on-time procurement. - Ensure that equipment meets project timelines, quality standards, and organizational needs.Desired Skills:- Strong expertise in planning, purchasing, financial management, and negotiation. - Exceptional negotiation skills to secure the best pricing and contract terms. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities. - Proactive in skill enhancement and continuous learning.QualificationsB.Tech / M Sc10 to 15 years of experience in procurement, particularly within pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
