Job Description – Network EngineerLocation: Kolkata/ GandhinagarPreferred Education, Skills and Experience Education Level: B.E. (Electronics & Communication or IT) / Diploma Electronics & Communication / BCA with 3-4 Years experience in Networking or Telecom.Certification : Preferred to be CCNA certified / CCNA Trained Experience: Networking knowledge / Telecom knowledge is preferred.Skills Required: • Good Communication and interpersonal skills • Experience in last mile access network and network elements routers • Good understanding of telecom processes • Basic understanding of telecom technologies such FTTB FTTN VDSL Copper GPON etc. • Exposure of working on Provisioning configuration of Telecom services Readiness to work in shifts (Mostly for Night Shift) • Experience in the design, configuration and telecom systems, hardware and software applications. • Understanding of switching systems, cabling and fiber optics. • Knowledge of network topology • Nokia/Juniper/Cisco Platforms 78xx, 65xx, firewalls, routers, switches would be added advantage • LAN, WAN, WLAN infrastructures • Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP, NTP, SNMP, VoIP • ATM, MPLS, Frame Relay, and Metro Ethernet
