Position SummaryThe Inspection department is seeking an experienced Vendor / Workshop Inspector with strong expertise in inspection of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Valves, Structural Components, Piping, Boilers, Columns, and Rotary Equipment across various materials (CS, AS, SS, Duplex, Inconel, Ti, CuNi, etc.).The role involves executing shop inspection activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and providing technical support to Inspection Leaders and Coordinators.2. Key Objectives & ResponsibilitiesInspection & Compliance- Lead and perform shop inspection activities as per the approved ITPs for all assigned commodities. - Coordinate and conduct joint inspections with client representatives. - Ensure timely submission of inspection reports and Inspection Release Certificates. - Review the final quality dossier for inspected commodities. - Supervise manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with relevant codes and project specifications.Technical Review & Support- Conduct pre-manufacturing reviews of specifications to identify inconsistencies or unclear requirements. - Support Inspection Leaders/Coordinators in resolving NCRs and addressing fabrication-related issues. - Collaborate with Inspection Leader to prepare Technical Queries for End User. - Advise promptly on deviations and assist in corrective shop activities.Project Coordination- Lead Pre-Inspection Meetings for assigned purchase orders. - Provide on-time support to Inspection Coordinators for punch point closure. - Ensure quality documentation is complete and accurate at all stages.3. Technical Skills & QualificationsEssential Skills- 10–15 years of experience in Quality Control of manufacturing and welding processes of static equipment, valves, and piping components. - Strong expertise in materials used in Oil & Gas (Carbon Steel, Low Alloy Steel, Stainless Steels, Duplex, Nickel Alloys, etc.). - Deep knowledge of international codes: ASME, API, ANSI, NACE. - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI / CSWIP). - NDT Level II in VT, PT, MT, RT, UT. - Experience reviewing and producing Quality documents and inspection reports. - SAP No. and knowledge of QMS for ARAMCO projects.Desirable Skills- API Certifications (API 910, 936, 570, 571, SIFE). - BGAS / NACE / FROSIO Coating & Painting Qualification.Education- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.4. Key Competencies- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and coordination capabilities. - Ability to work with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders effectively. - Detail-oriented and committed to quality compliance.
