We are looking for a meticulous SDET who will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated tests and test environments for Arcana. The engineer must have a passion for diving into data and technology, be a problem solver, and have a desire to improve software quality within a team environment. This role is critical in ensuring technology functions efficiently and effectively, minimizes errors, and helps meet software quality goals.Responsibilities:- Collaborate with various teams at Arcana to understand automation needs. - Contribute to and maintain test automation framework development. - Lead programmatic best practices by example; be a hands-on programmer. - Estimate efforts, identify risks, devise mitigation plans, and meet project automation schedules. - Monitor automation metrics for continuous quality and process improvements.Requirements:- 3 to 4 years of strong experience developing test automation for frontend automation using Playwright, Selenium, or other browser automation tools. - Experience automating GraphQL APIs, REST APIs, etc. - Expert-level knowledge in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, etc. - Experience with industry best practices in software development processes: unit testing, code coverage, object-oriented design, code quality, automation, code reviews, etc. - Proven ownership and delivery of automation for a sizable product or product component; strong sense of independence and self-direction. - Experience working with large codebases, writing new code, and maintaining existing code. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams, prioritize automation requirements, and deliver in a timely fashion. - Experience working with CI/CD tools. - Proficient in Git, Bitbucket, or other version control tools. - Working knowledge of SQL, GCP/AWS, and database systems.Preferred:- Experience automating financial or analytics software.
