Key Responsibilities:- Identify and evaluate potential land parcels for renewable energy development based on technical, environmental, regulatory, and financial criteria. - Initiate and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, local authorities, and stakeholders. - Negotiate and execute land lease, purchase, easement, and option agreements. - Collaborate with project developers, GIS analysts, legal counsel, and permitting teams to ensure land acquisitions align with project development goals. - Manage title review, ALTA surveys, zoning verification, and other due diligence activities. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of landowner communications and agreement status in CRM or project databases. - Represent the company at community meetings, public hearings, and local events to build trust and support for projects. - Monitor and understand local, state, and federal land use and permitting regulations. - Assist with resolving landowner issues and coordinating with legal teams on dispute resolution, when needed.Qualifications:Required:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Land Use Planning, or related field.Experience:- 12+ years of experience in land acquisition within renewable energy - Proven experience negotiating land agreements and working with rural landowners. - Understanding of property rights, land use regulations, zoning, and permitting processes. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build trust and manage relationships. - Ability to travel frequently to project sites and meet with landowners (30–50% travel).Preferred:Experience with GIS tools for land evaluation.Familiarity with renewable energy development processes and timelines.Knowledge of agricultural land use and rural community dynamics.Skills & Competencies:Negotiation & relationship managementDue diligence & risk assessmentProject management & coordinationLegal and regulatory knowledgeSelf-motivated with strong organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communicationTechnically proficient with MS Office, CRM systems, and mapping software (e.g., ArcGIS)
