The role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and timely delivery to support project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Procurement & Sourcing- Identify, evaluate, and qualify reliable suppliers/vendors for civil works and materials. - Float enquiries, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements. - Ensure procurement is aligned with technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.Vendor Management- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers. - Negotiate terms, pricing, credit, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings. - Monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and service.Contracts & Documentation- Draft and review purchase orders, work orders, and contracts in coordination with the contracts team. - Maintain procurement records, approvals, and documentation for audits and compliance. - Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirementsCost & Budget Control- Monitor and control procurement costs within allocated budgets. - Provide cost analysis, market trends, and price benchmarking. - Support the project team in preparing BOQ and procurement schedules.Coordination & Support- Work closely with the project execution, planning, billing, and QS teams to understand material requirements. - Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely delivery and stock management. - Assist in resolving material-related site issues.Requirement- BTech / MTech / Dip - Civil Engineering - 3–7 years of experience in procurement/supply chain within the civil construction sector (infrastructure, real estate, or contracting companies) - Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, specifications, and industry standards. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. - Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software. - Analytical mindset with strong cost-control and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
