This is a full-time, on-site role in Jalandhar. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, overseeing recruitment and onboarding processes, leading performance management programs, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. The Director will play a critical role in driving workforce engagement and maintaining alignment between organizational goals and employee development.Key Responsibilities1. Strategic HR Leadership Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with the institution's long-term goals. Provide counsel to top leadership on workforce planning, policy formulation, and organizational development. Lead HR transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and digitalization. 2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Oversee end-to-end recruitment for academic and non-academic roles. Design high-quality hiring frameworks, competency models, and leadership hiring strategies. Drive workforce forecasting and succession planning. 3. Employee Relations & Engagement Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and harmonious work culture. Oversee grievance redressal mechanisms and disciplinary processes. Implement engagement, recognition, and retention programs. 4. Learning & Development Establish leadership development programs, faculty development plans, and continuous training initiatives. Promote a culture of learning focused on performance and innovation. 5. Performance Management Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of PMS systems. Ensure goal alignment, competency evaluation, and timely feedback cycles. 6. Compensation & Benefits Structure competitive compensation frameworks in line with UGC, AICTE, and industry benchmarks. Oversee payroll, rewards, and benefits administration. 7. HR Policy, Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and university policies. Update and manage HR manuals, SOPs, and compliance frameworks. Handle audits and regulatory reporting as required. 8. HR Operations & Systems Strengthen HR processes using HRMS tools, analytics, and automation. Drive data-based decision-making and report workforce analytics to leadership.Qualifications & Experience Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/PGDM preferred). 18–25 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in large organizations or the higher education sector. Strong experience in managing large teams and leading transformational projects. Deep knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and HR technologies.
