The HR Specialist/Manager will be responsible for managing the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, policy formulation, performance management, payroll coordination, and employee relations. The role requires close collaboration with leadership to build scalable HR processes, ensure legal compliance, and foster a positive, high-performance work culture in a fast-growing EdTech environment.Key Responsibilities:- Draft, implement, and periodically review HR policies and procedures in line with organizational needs and statutory requirements. - Employee Leave and Attendance Management. - Coordinate and oversee payroll processing ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory deductions and attendance data. - Design, execute and manage the performance management framework, including goal setting, appraisals, feedback cycles, and performance improvement plans. - Oversee overall employee relations, acting as a bridge between employees and management to maintain a healthy work environment. - Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution with fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism. - Administer employee benefits and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations. - Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR documentation through HRMS and internal systems. - Plan and execute training and development initiatives to enhance employee capability, productivity, and career growth.Qualification:- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. - Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline is a plus. - Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements. - Proven experience in policy formulation and implementation. - Core experience in performance management and employee relations. - High standards of confidentiality, ethics, and professionalism.Must Have Skills:- Strong working proficiency in Google Sheets for HR data management, reporting, and analysis. - Hands-on experience with HRMS software for attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and employee records; experience with GreytHR is a strong plus. - Ability to independently manage HR operations with minimal supervision.Good to have:- Prior HR experience in an EdTech organization, start-ups or growth-stage organizations (50–100 employees). - Exposure to building HR processes and systems from scratch.
