Experience: 6-10years Location: Bangalore, Belandur Mode of working: Hybrid(3days to office) Job Description: Data Platform Engineer-AWS Job Summary The Data Platform team in Avis is a level 3 technology specialist team to roll out new capabilities in to cloud to support data engineers, analysts, and business teams. This role does not require night shifts but need to have overlapping hours between IST and US east morning hours for proper handholding with stakeholders. Data Platform Team is looking for a talented and passionate Cloud engineer with experience in data platform components to join this team. They are expected to evaluate and roll out new solutions quickly with minimal guidance in accordance with recommended best practices and security policies. This role requires a resourceful individual, a persistent problem solver, and a strong hand on engineer who can move around various technology stacks with ease. Responsibilities • Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) and deploy new cloud-based solutions with minimal supervision. • Administer and support critical data platform components, providing Level 3 (L3) support as required. • Offer technical leadership by quickly acquiring knowledge of newly implemented systems, creating documentation, and sharing expertise with team members to ensure smooth adoption and support. Job Requirements . Strong hands-on experience into Data Platform Engineer role. • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux/Unix operating systems. • Strong experience/ Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools such as Terraform/Ansible. • Strong Experience on relational database concepts, particularly RDS Postgres, with advanced SQL skills. • Deep understanding of network topologies, protocols, and services with strong troubleshooting skills (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP, netstat, OpenSSL). • Programming and scripting experience with Java, Python, and Shell. . Hands on experience in AWS Services & AWS Redshift Mandatory.
