Company Overview:SmartED Innovations is an ed-tech company helping learners upskill across domains such as Web Development, AI/ML, Data Science, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, Life Sciences & Management.We’re looking to bring in a self-motivated intern to join our inside sales team, engage with prospective clients, build relationships, and drive revenue growth.Roles & Responsibilities:Find potential customers by researching companies and people online.Build and update a list of leads in spreadsheets or CRM tools so the team knows who to contact.Check and qualify leads — make sure they fit what the company is looking for before passing them on.Help with outreach messages, like writing and sending introductory emails or LinkedIn messages.Keep lead information organized and up-to-date, removing duplicates and correcting errors.Collaborate with sales/marketing teams so lead efforts match campaign goals.Track and report progress, like how many quality leads were found or how well outreach is working.Learn and adopt new tools, like LinkedIn Sales Navigator or CRM systems, to improve lead work.Participate in team meetings and share ideas on how to find better leads or improve outreach. Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to help spot fresh opportunities.Qualifications/Skill Required:Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree (especially in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for outreach and messaging.Good research ability to find and assess potential customers online.Comfortable with basic office tools like Excel/Google Sheets and docs.Organized and detail-oriented — can keep lead lists and notes accurate.Self-motivated & eager to learn, able to take initiative with minimal supervision.Familiarity with LinkedIn or CRM tools (like HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce) is a plus.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Interest in sales, marketing, or business development (shows passion for the field).Basic digital communication skills (email outreach, messaging) is beneficial.
