We offer deep sector expertise across a full range of products and services in investment banking, equities, fixed income, asset and wealth management in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East and Asia.Vice President - Payroll and Benefits Manager.Role Description:Due to a recent expansion within the HR team, we are recruiting for a senior Payroll & Benefits professional to work from our Mumbai, India office.The successful candidate will be part of the Global Payroll & Benefits team, covering the full suite of Payroll and Benefits activities. You will play a key role in supporting the Payroll & Benefits team in managing various processes relating to the full scope of salary, pension and benefits for India and other APAC locations.The role will involve working closely with HR colleagues in Asia. The candidates’ duties will include, but are not limited to:- Acting as main point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for India Payroll and Benefits Team, including all payroll and benefits activities - Interacting closely with payroll vendor to ensure timely and accurate service delivery including CTC breakup, Flexi Benefits and GL load to Finance - Managing employer obligations for employer’s annual tax filing Form 16 and FnF Statement - Managing payroll and benefits-related regulatory reporting such as PF / pensions / EPF / VEPF / ESIC / LWF / ESOP Valuations and their enrollments / cancellations accordance to the Shop Establishment for State of Maharashtra - Administering NPS enrollments with proper mapping process - Managing medical renewal with broker in India - Administering time management in HR system - Being responsible for implementation of new payroll entity and benefits-related activities should they arise - Building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional counterparts - Liaising with external and internal auditors- Supporting APAC payroll & benefits team with adhoc tasks - Assisting with project work when requiredSkills, experiences and capabilities:- Excellent written and spoken English - Experience in US financial firms preferred - Experience working with vendors and systems such as ADP Celergo, JB Boda, HDFC - Experience managing payroll and benefits in other APAC locations, an advantage - Proactive, problem-solver as well as taking ownership of initiatives and driving them forward - Ability to work independently with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential - Comfortable juggling competing priorities and managing stakeholder expectations - Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and proactively contribute ideas, views and recommendations - High level of attention to detail with strong numeracy and analytical skills - Have a professional and adaptable approach and the ability to work with confidential and sensitive information - Excellent organization and time management skillsAt Jefferies, we believe that diversity fosters creativity, innovation and thought leadership through the infusion of new ideas and perspectives.
