Location: MumbaiFunction: Sales Leadership + Operations & S&OPReports to: BoardAbout the RoleWe are hiring a General Manager – Sales & Operations to lead our India-wide commercial strategy for a high growth Bakery JV between Freshezy (India) and Mantinga (Europe).This role is sales focused with a mandate to drive revenue growth, build channel strategy, expand distribution, develop national accounts, and unlock new market opportunities across formats.The remaining focuses on enabling strong execution through S&OP, forecasting, cross-functional alignment, and operational excellence to support scale. Ideal for a senior leader who has managed pan-India sales, has deep experience in FMCG/Food/Bakery/QSR supply, and can build high-performance sales teams and processes from the ground up.Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Strategy & Expansion·Build and own the India commercial strategy across MT, GT, HORECA, QSR, B2B, institutional, and distributor networks.·Identify new market segments, new city launches, and new channel opportunities.·Create scalable GTM models with clear revenue roadmaps for each channel.·Lead pricing, margin architecture, assortment planning, and sales programs.2. National Account Management & Key Partnerships·Build and manage relationships with national accounts, QSR chains, foodservice distributors, and large-format retailers.·Drive monthly/quarterly business reviews, joint business plans, and category growth initiatives.3. Sales Ops, Forecasting & CRM·Set up robust sales operations: forecasting, pipeline management, territory design, channel activation.·Lead CRM adoption, target-setting, sales incentives, and performance tracking.4. Team Leadership & Talent Development·Hire, coach, and scale a nationwide sales team (regional sales managers, KAMs, MT leads, and on ground teams).·Build a high performance sales culture with strong cadence, accountability, and incentives.5. S&OP & Demand Planning·Lead monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align demand forecasts with production readiness.·Partner with supply chain, production, and QA to ensure seamless execution.6. Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Alignment·Streamline processes from order → production → dispatch → customer service.·Work with product, marketing, and production teams to ensure flawless launches.7. P&L Ownership & Business Performance·Own revenue, margins, cost structures, and overall P&L drivers.·Convert data into actionable insights to improve revenue yield and sales productivity.Who You Are·A sales first business leader who can build India wide revenue engines.·Strong at both strategy and hands on execution.·Proven ability to scale teams, launch cities/channels, and grow high-frequency B2B or FMCG categories.·Comfortable in a fast moving start-up × manufacturing JV environment.Required Qualifications & Experience·10–20 years experience with heavy sales ownership in FMCG/Food/Bakery/QSR supply chains.·Proven track record in pan-India sales strategy, B2B selling, and key account management.·Strong commercial understanding of GTM, margins, channel economics, and sales operations.·Experience in S&OP, forecasting, and cross-functional alignment.·MBA/PGDM preferred; technical/operations background a plus.Good to Have·Experience in frozen foods/bakery/B2B QSR supply.·Exposure to automation-led manufacturing or new product commercialization.Has led both sales + operations in growth-stage companies or JVs.
