Job Description

Role Overview The Assistant MIS Manager will support the MIS function by managing, analyzing, and reporting business-critical data across departments including Operations, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain. This role involves overseeing MIS reporting, automating data processes, building dashboards, and delivering actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and support business decision-making. The position requires strong analytical capability, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining high data accuracy and governance standards.This role is based out of Vashi, Mumbai.Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for Operations, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain teams. Automate and improve reporting and data processes using advanced Excel functions, Power Query, Macros, and scripts. Build, update, and manage dashboards to track KPIs such as order fulfillment, inventory movement, vendor performance, and sales trends. Coordinate with procurement, finance, supply chain, and cross-functional teams to collect data and ensure accuracy and consistency. Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities through structured data analysis and reporting. Conduct variance analysis and highlight operational inefficiencies, risks, or cost leakages. Ensure data hygiene, master data integrity, and proper record management across ERP, CRM, and spreadsheet platforms. Identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights to support management decisions and business strategy.Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field. 2–4 years of experience in MIS, data analysis, or reporting roles (startup, FMCG, or retail experience preferred). Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query, and Macros. Working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio is an added advantage. Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. Ability to handle large datasets, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with ERP systems and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.) is a plus.
