Location: Andheri East / Santacruz, MumbaiRole Overview:This role is ideal for candidates interested in sales, business development, and client engagement within a fintech/NBFC environment.The primary responsibility will be client calling, lead engagement, follow-ups, and supporting the sales funnel from outreach to conversion. The intern will work closely with the sales and leadership teams to ensure smooth client communication, qualification, and onboarding coordination.High-performing interns may be considered for PPO/full-time opportunities.This is a non-target role, focused on learning, execution support, and exposure rather than quotas.Key Responsibilities:Client Calling & Lead EngagementConduct outbound calls to potential clients (MSMEs, exporters/importers) from internal lead lists.Clearly communicate CapitalXB’s offerings, eligibility, and financing solutions.Qualify leads based on business requirements, documentation readiness, and financing needs.Maintain a high call volume and follow structured call scripts (where applicable).Schedule meetings/demos for the sales team with interested prospects.Sales Support & CoordinationFollow up on warm leads, pending documents, and client action items.Assist in client onboarding by coordinating documentation and internal verifications.Update and maintain CRM hygiene: status changes, call notes, lead stage progression.Support in preparing sales trackers, weekly reports, and pipeline summaries.Market Intelligence & ResearchConduct basic research on target MSME segments, trade corridors, and competitor offerings.Identify potential outreach clusters and new lead pools for calling activities.Cross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with operations, risk, and finance teams to fast-track client queries and onboarding.Flag operational bottlenecks and propose follow-ups where needed.Key Qualifications & Skills:Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking with clients over phone.Good command over English & Hindi (additional regional languages are a plus).Ability to maintain structured call logs and follow disciplined follow-up cycles.Basic understanding of sales processes, CRM usage, and lead management.Highly organized with strong task ownership and responsiveness.Proficiency in Excel/Sheets for maintaining trackers is a plus.Core Competencies:Communication Excellence: Clear, polite, and persuasive client interactions.Persistence & Follow-Ups: Consistent outreach and disciplined calling cycles.Professionalism: Maintaining etiquette and accurate information during calls.Speed & Responsiveness: Quick updates, prompt follow-ups, and real-time CRM hygiene.Proactive Ownership: Ability to independently manage call lists and lead progress.Learning Opportunities:Hands-on experience in B2B sales within a fintech/NBFC setup.Exposure to trade finance products and MSME lending workflows.Practical understanding of end-to-end sales pipeline management.Opportunity for PPO/full-time based on performance and communication capability.Eligibility:Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s in any field (Commerce, Business, Economics preferred).Strong interest in sales, client engagement, fintech, or financial services.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-oriented startup environment.
