Test Automation Engineer | Cypress, JavaScript / TypeScript | 4+ Years Experience | REMOTEThis role requires to work in the AWST timezone, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM ISTHands-on experience in the Cypress framework is required for this role. Our mission is to build highly functional engineering teams, and we want to make hiring more straightforward, efficient, and human.About this roleWe are looking for a skilled 'Software Engineer in Test' engineer to join & work alongside our Australian engineering team. You will work to design, develop, and maintain automatedtest suites for our web and mobile applications. You’ll work closely with QA, development, and DevOps teams to ensure delivery of high-quality software at speed.Benefits100% Remote.Working with international teams in a remote environment.End-of-year complimentary time off. It's rare for us to work on weekends/holidays.Required Qualifications4+ years of experience in test automation with the Cypress framework.Understanding of test design patterns and automation best practices (Page Object Model, data-driven tests, etc.)Experience in API testing using tools like PostmanExperience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect, implement, and maintain automated tests using Cypress for end-to-end UI testing.Develop and extend test frameworks in JavaScript / TypeScript for API, integration, and unit testing.Analyse test results, triage failures, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.Write clear, maintainable, and reusable test code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.Continuously improve test coverage, performance, and reliability.Mentor other QA engineers on automation tools and techniques.Our approach to Flexible WorkingAt stackway, we value and respect differences.
