Job Description

The Role We are looking for a Strength and Conditioning Intern to join Inspire Institute of Sport, with a passion and expertise in Sports Science. You will be responsible for working closely with Head Coaches, and the Sports Science Department and making your mark in a world-class performance environment. This is your opportunity to directly impact the success of elite athletes in India through applied Strength and Conditioning Support. Main Responsibilities: - Provide world-leading evidence-based strength and conditioning services and advice to coaches and athletes in line with each athlete’s individualised performance plan. - Deliver specific and relevant performance testing and tracking/monitoring for all athletes, providing timely feedback to the coaches, athletes, and Performance Support team members. - Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary performance support team that creates a high-performance environment to provide an integrated program based on the level and needs for each athlete. - Create and implement training plans with a focus on conditioning to enhance overall athletic performance. - Maintain detailed and accurate records of athlete data (testing results, attendance, progress) in an organised management system, ensuring information is current and accessible to the multidisciplinary team. - Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously without compromising quality of work. - Manage time effectively to cover both on-field/court conditioning and gym-based coaching sessions, prioritizing tasks to meet all deadlines and athlete needs. Minimum experience and requirements: - A Master’ degree in any Exercise Science, Sport Science or Strength and Conditioning related course. - Previous experience in Strength and Conditioning working with Junior and/or Senior athletes. - Awareness of the multi-disciplined team operation and how to work with wider sports science, medical, and coaching teams. - Preferably a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach through UKSCA, ASCA, NSCA or a similar organisation. - Experience in data management, analysis and reporting.
