About the Role Skyrelis is seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevSecOps Engineer (6–8 years) to join our platform engineering team. This role is critical in deploying and operating Skyrelis’ global Edge PoPs, secure data plane/control plane microservices, Envoy-based AI inspection gateways, and our complete observability pipeline across AWS and multi-cloud environments. You will own the secure deployment lifecycle—from infrastructure automation, certificate management, and observability—in addition to optimizing OpenSearch indexing, cluster performance, and building resilient CI/CD systems. This is a hands-on engineering role suitable for someone who thrives in high-scale security architectures and modern cloud-native systems. Responsibilities Cloud & Kubernetes Infrastructure Deploy microservices using Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes (EKS/GKE). Operate data plane & control plane workloads across AWS and multi-cloud. Support new regional deployments on demand. Envoy Deployment & Certificate Management Deploy Envoy proxies (sidecars, explicit/forward proxies, MITM). Manage PKI, certificate rotation, SDS/xDS integrations. Support customer-specific deployment patterns. Observability & OpenSearch Configure & troubleshoot OTEL receivers, OSIS ingestion pipelines. Manage OpenSearch indices, shards, mappings, log normalization, retention, snapshots. Ensure resiliency, scalability, and cost efficiency DevOps Automation & CI/CD Manage CI/CD pipelines for platform services. Implement canary/blue-green deployment strategies. Maintain secure secret storage and lifecycle (KMS/Secrets Manager). Security, Monitoring & Operations Review and strengthen cloud security policies. Integrate customer IDP (SAML/OIDC). Monitor using CloudWatch, configure alerting. Work with AWS Support when required. Participate in incident response and post-mortems. Support LLM model deployment workflows. Documentation & Environment Management Maintain architecture docs, runbooks, SOPs. Manage dev/stage/prod cloud environments and upgrades. Required Qualifications 6–8+ years hands-on DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering experience. Strong expertise with AWS (VPCs, IAM, EC2/ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, ALB/NLB, Route 53, ACM, OpenSearch). Experience deploying and configuring Envoy proxy (sidecars, forward proxies, MITM). Deep understanding of TLS, PKI, certificate chains, SDS/xDS , and certificate lifecycle automation. Experience with OTel Collector , OpenSearch , OSIS pipelines. Strong IaC experience using Terraform , Helm , CloudFormation . Comfortable with Kubernetes , microservices, autoscaling, networking. Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines. Expertise in Linux, networking, DNS, routing, and containerized deployments (Docker). Programming/Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go. Preferred Experience with multi-region / multi-cloud rollouts (AWS, GCP, Azure). Familiarity with AI/LLM infra deployments (model hosting, GPU workflows, inference infrastructure). Exposure to SIEM, DLP, or security-oriented observability systems. Strong understanding of Zero Trust and identity federation (SAML/OIDC). Soft Skills Strong ownership and execution abilities. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment. Comfortable collaborating with engineering, security, and customer teams.
