About KaaryaConnectKaaryaConnect is a tradition-first services marketplace connecting families with trusted Purohits, astrologers, Brahmin cooks, traditional catering, decor, photographers, musicians, and more.Provider onboarding is live, our Android app is in beta, and we are now expanding our core product team with a high-ownership intern who can own both product design and social growth content.Position - QA Testing & Automation InternWhat you will do- Create and maintain test cases for web and Android app flows (provider onboarding + customer booking) - Execute functional testing - smoke, sanity, regression, and exploratory testing - Validate end-to-end critical journeys - login, OTP, provider profile, pricing, availability, booking, cancellations, payments, reviews - Log bugs clearly with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, screenshots/videos, and severity - Work closely with developers to verify fixes and prevent regressions - Build and maintain basic automation suites for repeatable flows (web first; app automation if feasible) - Set up test data, test environments, and release checklists - Track QA metrics - defect leakage, regression coverage, flaky tests, and release readinessTools & skills- Strong fundamentals in QA - test case design, bug reporting, and root cause thinking - Automation exposure - Selenium (preferred) or Playwright/Cypress for web testing - Basic scripting knowledge - JavaScript/TypeScript or Python (either is fine) - Understanding of APIs - ability to use Postman to test REST endpoints - Familiarity with Git and running tests in CI (bonus) - Mobile testing knowledge (Android) and tools like Appium (bonus)What we are looking for- Ownership mindset - you don’t just find bugs, you help prevent them - Strong attention to detail and structured documentation habits - Ability to prioritize testing based on risk and customer impact - Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup with frequent releases - At least one project, automation repo, or testing portfolio you can showCommon Requirements- Final-year student, recent graduate, or early-career professional - Available to work full-time or near full-time during the internship period - Strong communication and comfort in cross-functional collaboration - Willingness to learn quickly and deliver consistentlyCompensation & Performance- This is a performance-linked internship with variable payout - Payouts will depend on: - Test coverage and quality of test documentation - Automation contributions and stability of test suites - Speed and accuracy of defect reporting and verification - Impact on release quality and reduction in production issues
