This role provides local leadership, coordination, and oversight across multiple cybersecurity domains, ensuring alignment with global strategy and direction from functional leaders.Key ResponsibilitiesRegional Leadership & Coordination:- Serve as the primary cybersecurity point of contact for regional business leaders and IT/OT stakeholders. - Provide guidance, coordination, to regional cybersecurity team members on day-to-day matters. - Partner with global functional leaders to ensure cybersecurity initiatives are implemented effectively within the region. - Escalate regional risks, issues, or resource needs to global cyber leadership.Operational Oversight:- Coordinate and monitor the execution of cybersecurity activities in alignment with global priorities. - Support regional incident response, ensuring timely coordination with Cyber Security Operations and other stakeholders. - Provide support for high-priority and business-critical incidents in EU/US regions as required, including extended or non-standard hours.” - Lead, track and report on progress of cybersecurity initiatives, projects, and compliance activities within the region.Engagement & Advocacy:- Build strong relationships with business and IT/OT leaders to understand regional needs and drive adoption of security initiatives. - Act as a trusted advisor on regional security risks, threats, and trends. - Consult with the broader cyber organization resources for recommendations on controls. - Represent the regional voice in global cybersecurity discussions.Team Support & Development:- Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to regional cybersecurity team members. - Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture across the local team. - Identify training and development needs within the region and advocate for appropriate resources and to inform functional leaders of the recommendations.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. - 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity / IT risk management, including leadership responsibilities. - Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, etc.). - Ability to coordinate across global teams and influence without direct authority. - Strong communication and relationship-building skills. - Experience supporting incident response, risk management, and compliance activities. - Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent) preferred.Success Factors:- Builds trust with local stakeholders while staying aligned to global strategy. - Effectively translates global cybersecurity direction into local execution. - Anticipates and escalates risks proactively. - Develops regional talent and maintains a resilient team culture.
