At Visy India, their technology hub in Hyderabad, they are expanding their technical capabilities to support their global business.Introduction to the Role:The position is for a Management Accountant, reporting to the Finance Manager – Visy Global Procurement. This role is part of the Group Division/Sub-Division and is located in Hyderabad, India. The role's country/region coverage spans Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and China.Position Summary and Objectives:The Management Accountant will support finance operations within Visy Global Procurement across various business units. Key areas of focus include energy, travel, and fuel transactions, intercompany charge-outs, and comprehensive financial support for Allpak Hong Kong (including balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, and general bookkeeping). The role also supports management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.The ability to ensure accuracy, pay attention to detail, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders is crucial for driving efficient operations.The key objectives of the role are to:- Ensure cost controls are effective by reviewing reported costs and investigating overruns. - Enable better commercial decision-making by supporting the Commercial team across the business. - Improve operational efficiency by delivering fit-for-purpose financial models. - Enhance forecasting accuracy and reliability through improved processes and month-end discipline. - Drive data-led decisions by developing more insightful financial and operational reporting. - Reduce risk and improve efficiency by streamlining accounting systems and minimizing manual work.Key Responsibilities:The primary responsibilities of the role are:- Managing Energy, travel, and fuel billing & payments, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment of invoices in SAP, and liaising with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies promptly. - Performing monthly Charge outs to divisions for energy and travel, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of intercompany recharge. - Maintaining Bookkeeping for Allpak Hongkong, including payroll and general bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy in MME (Mid-Month End) and EOM (End of Month) processes, and taking full accountability for accurate and timely balance sheet account reconciliations. - Preparing Balance sheet account reconciliations for Procurement, Energy, VGI, and Commodity Trading, including the accurate and timely uploading of reconciliations into Blackline. - Assisting with reporting and planning, specifically supporting Mid-month, End of month, and year-end reporting across multiple business units, and supporting Budget and Forecast processes for Procurement, VGI, Energy, Commodity Trading and Supply Chain. - Providing Procurement support by assisting Procurement Managers with raising Credit Notes (CNs) and Debit Notes (DNs) for vendors. - Performing Other duties as directed and helping to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.Key Challenges:The Management Accountant will face several key challenges, including:- Navigating complex regulatory changes and ensuring compliance. - Balancing workload during peak financial reporting periods. - Integrating new financial software and processes, including accounting ERP systems. - Identifying and solving discrepancies in financial data with precision.Key Requirements:Experience and Qualifications:Mandatory (critical for the role):- Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance. - CPA or CA qualified (or in process). - Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience.Desirable (preferable for the role):- Competent in the use of MS Office Suite. - Competent in the use of SAP. - Competent in the use of Hyperion.Skills:The required skills include:- Highly motivated and results orientated. - High level of commercial acumen. - Ability to work within timeframe constraints and solve issues in a timely manner. - Ability to lead teams and bring people along with them. - High level of analytical and numerical ability. - Highly organized with excellent time management skills. - A strong communicator who develops excellent interpersonal relationship with stakeholders. - A personal culture of process improvements. - A quick learner who can manage multiple tasks within a continuous improvement environment.
