In this role, you will be responsible for writing and maintaining bothUI and backend automationtests, ensuring the highest quality standards across the application. You will use tools such asSelenium WebDriver ,RestAssured ,Postman ,TestNG , andCucumberto automate tests and ensure product reliability. The ideal candidate will have strongtechnical problem-solving skills , a deep understanding ofQA processes , and a proven ability to be an independent contributor who canunblock themselves and peers . As a Senior SDET, you will play a critical role in mentoring junior team members, ensuring best practices in testing, and collaborating effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Test Automation Development: Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for bothUIandbackendusingSelenium WebDriver ,RestAssured ,Postman , andCucumberframeworks. Develop, enhance, and refactor automation frameworks to ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability. Write and maintain test cases that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance testing 2. API testing: Write automated API tests usingRestAssuredandPostmanfor validating RESTful APIs. Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments. Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios. 3. Agile and Continuous Integration (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes, reporting the results promptly. Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprints, standups, retrospectives) and work in an iterative, fast-paced environment. 4. Problem Solving and troubleshooting: Exceptional technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly analyze complex issues and resolve them independently. Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in both test code and application code. Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks. 5. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables. Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies that support development cycles and meet business requirements. Lead cross-functional communication between engineering, product, and QA teams to ensure everyone is aligned on quality standards and release timelines.ADDITIONAL SKILLS Experience withperformance testingtools (e.g.,JMeter ,LoadRunner ). Knowledge ofmobile test automationtools such asAppium . Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and services (AWS, Azure, etc.). Experience in thegame industryor withgame-specific automationis a plus. Familiarity with containerization tools likeDockerand orchestration tools likeKubernetesfor managing test environments.
