Job Description

Job Responsibilities- Manage and maintain Linux servers and applications, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve efficiency. - Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot cloud-based services and applications. Use cloud management tools and services to automate deployment and scaling processes. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure and Linux systems. Implement security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security audits. Manage access controls, user permissions, and identity management. - Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using languages like Bash, Python, or Perl. Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing. - Set up and manage monitoring tools to track system performance and availability. Analyze performance data and make recommendations for improvements. Optimize resource utilization and cost management for cloud services. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Share knowledge and best practices with team members and provide training as needed. Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge base articles. - Provide technical support to customers and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, services, and applications. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud services, networking, and Linux systems. Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or specialized teams. Work closely with other teams, developers, DevOps, Billing, Infra, InfoSec, Network, and sales to resolve issues. Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers as needed. Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support coverage. Act as a point of contact for customers, providing timely updates and status reports.Required Skills- Strong understanding of cloud computing and virtualization technologies. - Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, etc. - Proficiency in networking technologies, IP networking, VPN’s, DNS, load balancing and firewalling. - Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Proven ability to work in a dynamic team environment. - Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms. - Certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) are highly desirable. - Knowledge on OpenStack is a plus.Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).ABOUT RTDSFounded in 2010, Real Time Data Services (RTDS) is a group of companies excelling in global information technology, specializing in Cloud Computing.
