Backed by Binny Bansal of Flipkart fame,Opptrais building a portfolio of category-aligned franchising businesses and powering these ventures with a consolidated supply chain and centrally developed technology.Role Description: As the Channel Sales Leader for Softlines (Footwear, Apparel, Accessories etc) you will spearhead the expansion of our presence across Asia’s fast-evolving fashion and beauty marketplaces, DTC and retail chains.Your expertise in global Fashion across Apparel, Footwear, Accessories etc will be essential in shaping a distinctive brand identity in a vibrant market driven by international trends and local festivities. You will develop strategies to maximize sales, forge strong partnerships, and deliver premium experiences aligned with global and local consumer preferences.Roles and Responsibilities:1. Revenue Growth & Channel Expansion Drive revenue growth byexpanding into leading Indian online marketplaces. Strengthenoffline retail collaborationswith premium department stores, multibrand outlets, and exclusive brand boutiques focusing on international, and athleisure fashion. Strategically leverage key Indian festivals and consumer moments – such as Diwali, Holi, Eid, Navratri, Dussehra, New Year, and End of Season Sales – to maximize brand visibility and drive sales surges. Conduct SKU-level competitive analysiscentered on international fashion trends, pricing sensitivity, and demand for athleisure, premium casual wear. 2. Brand & Market Development Identify and onboard emerging international brands across apparel, footwear, athleisure, segments, ensuring alignment with contemporary global fashion trends. Collaborate on launching seasonal collections, limited editions, and new lines timed around global fashion events, sports competitions, and major sales festivals. Enable collection rollouts to coincide with international fashion weeks, sporting seasons, and festival periods, appealing to aspirational consumers. Achieve ambitious revenue, profit, and market share objectives while staying aligned with global brand positioning and local consumer demands. 3. Supply Chain & Logistics Strategy Partner with logistics providers to guarantee swift inventory replenishment, especially during peak sale seasons and product launches. Optimize last-mile delivery solutions for quick, reliable fulfillment suited to SEA’s diverse geography, ensuring high customer satisfaction for Footwear, apparel, athleisure products. Oversee quality assurance, damages, and reverse logistics, especially for high-value and sensitive items like cosmetics and luxury apparel. 4. Marketing & Brand Engagement Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns that resonate during consumer moments, festive seasons, national holidays, and major sales events. Collaborate with influencers and celebrities to generate buzz, particularly around global fashion trends and athleisure launches. Leverage marketplace advertising and organic search optimization, emphasizing product categories like activewear, designer apparel, and footwear, essentials. Create compelling storytelling centered on international fashion inspirations, upcoming collections, and festival-themed promotions. 5. Customer Experience & Engagement Partner with the CX team to craft seamless, premium pre- and post-purchase experiences, emphasizing authenticity, easy returns, and premium services. Utilize localized content, multilingual support, and personalized communication to deepen engagement with aspirational fashion and beauty consumers. Collect insights on customer preferences around global brand and fashion trends, continuously refining the shopping experience.Qualifications and Skills Required: 10+ years of channel management/brand management leadership experience in Indian e-commerce marketplaces and Brands focusing on premium apparel, athleisure brands. Proven success in establishing and scaling distribution channels, particularly for international and domestic athleisure, and lifestyle brands in the Indian market. Good to have offline retail experience directly with brands or franchises operating in India. Experience closing profitable deals with leading Indian e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and quick commerce platforms. Demonstrated ability to sizeable large teams and ability to drive execution by being hands on.
