Sandfits has 3 foundries with a capacity of 60000 tons PA. Sandfits has a dedicated machine shop to deliver precision iron components to customers worldwide. Sandfits Foundries are located in and around Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India and has a certified IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.We are looking for Design and Development Engineer for our FoundryKey Responsibilites- Design casting components for Furan Sand processes. - Deliver First Time Right designs with no tooling or dimensional issues. - Validate design with customer requirements and manufacturing feasibility. - Complete design tasks on schedule; track and maintain cycle-time adherence. - Coordinate with tool room/pattern shop for timely tool and pattern development. - Ensure On-Time Tool Delivery from work order to tool receipt. - Estimate casting weight accurately; minimize variance at PPAP. - Support trials and prove-out for Green Sand & Furan Sand castings. - Implement design-based cost reductions and yield improvements. - Troubleshoot design issues: shrinkage, gas, erosion, core fitment, mold stability. - Apply basic casting simulation (MAGMA/NOVACAST/AutoCAST) for gating/riser validation.QualificationsGradudate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 7 years experience in New Product Development department.
