TheGeneral Manager – Financewill lead the entire finance function of the Street Light Poles and PEB manufacturing business. The role involves financial planning, budgeting, cost control, MIS reporting, compliance, working capital management, and supporting business decisions to ensure profitability and growth. This position requires strong manufacturing finance experience and understanding of heavy fabrication, structural steel, and EPC/PEB project cycles. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Financial Planning & Strategy Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals. Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections. Lead long-term financial planning for capex, new plants, machines, and projects. B. Accounting & Finance Operations Oversee all accounting functions: AP, AR, GL, banking, payroll, cost accounting. Ensure timely monthly/quarterly/yearly closing of books. Maintain accurate financial statements as per statutory standards. C. Costing & Pricing – Manufacturing & PEB Projects Manageproduct costingfor poles, high masts, and structural fabrication. PreparePEB project costing , BOQ-based costing, and margin analysis. Monitor raw material (steel) prices, fabrication costs, galvanizing costs, logistics, etc. Ensure accurateproject profitabilityand post-project cost reviews. D. Working Capital Management Monitor receivables, manage credit control, and ensure timely collection. Optimize inventory levels of steel, consumables, and finished goods. Manage vendor payments, bank limits, LC/BG, OD/CC facilities. Work closely with banks and financial institutions for funding. E. Compliance & Statutory Controls Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF/ESI, and other statutory norms. Coordinate with auditors (internal & statutory) and ensure timely audits. Implement strong internal controls and risk management systems. F. MIS & Business Analysis Prepare accurate and timely MIS reports for management. Analyze production efficiency, plant utilization, wastage, and cost variance. Provide financial insights for Sales, Production, Procurement, and Projects. Support pricing decisions, tender submissions, and commercial negotiations. G. Team Leadership Lead and mentor the finance & accounts team. Build robust financial processes and SOPs. Coordinate with operations, design, procurement, and sales departments. 3. Required Qualifications & Skills Education CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred. Additional certification in financial management or auditing is an advantage. Experience 10–20 yearsexperience in manufacturing finance. Strong experience in steel fabrication, poles, PEB, EPC projects, or engineering sector. Experience in handling banks, audits, and working capital efficiently. Skills Strong knowledge ofcosting ,budgeting ,compliance , andfinancial controls . Expertise inERP systems(Tally, SAP, or any manufacturing ERP). Analytical thinking with strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Good commercial understanding of government and infra project business. 4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Reduction in production and project costs. Effective working capital cycle (DSO, DPO, Inventory Days). Compliance accuracy and audit closure without major remarks. Project profitability and budgeting accuracy. Improvement in cash flow and financial discipline.
