We have diverse corporate functions that emphasize research, advanced technologies like AI and analytics, risk engineering, research, finance, marketing, HR, etc. working together to provide innovative solutions and nurture lasting relationships – from co-workers to clients.Role Title: Principal System EngineerPosition Summary:Recognized as a subject matter expert, the Systems Engineer IV is responsible for designing, integrating, and managing complex enterprise Linux systems including HPC clusters, building and running Infrastructure & Cloud Services, focused on producing high-quality solutions and improving existing technology systems through orchestration and automation. The Systems Engineer IV will focus on enhancing existing processes and developing and implementing solutions through various technology disciplines. The Systems Engineer IV collaborates with infrastructure engineers, software engineers, chapter leads, service and product owners, and other multidisciplinary staff based on shared goals and agile practices. This is a hands-on position that will work side by side with other team members throughout the Infrastructure and Cloud Product and Service Organization. As a member of a cross-functional team, the Systems Engineer IV will be flexible, participate in mutual understanding, and continuously evaluate processes.Job Responsibilities:- Plan: Provide estimates for work effort for product sprints. - Participate as SME in recommending technology solutions to the product team. - Participate as SME in the maintenance and upgrade tasks for services supported. - Participate as SME in resolving incidents and fulfilling requests escalated to service. - Run: Lead root cause analysis for problems related to services. - Work closely with vendors to ensure delivery of support contracts. - Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation - Build: Complete related technical work effort. - Communicate blockers and requests for help for agile teams. - System Reliability: Improve the reliability of high-scale systems by using automation to improve the process, the environment, and the technology stack. - Leverage automation where possible to ease/eliminate manual tasks. - Transition products and features to the service organization by leveraging automation wherever possible, including updating records systems and creating/updating documentation.Skill and Experience:Core Technical Competencies:- System administration and familiarity with multiple Linux distros - Experience with administration of HPC systems - Experience administrating Parallel File Systems - Networking and API fundamentals - Containers and cloud platforms - CI/CD: automated tests, builds, and version control - Secrets management and scripting - Data management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Monitoring / telemetry and reliability engineering best practices - Knowledgebase creation, planning, analysis, and compliance - Security-by-design principles (CISA)Professional & Interpersonal Skills:- Clear written and verbal communication, tailored to the audience - Strong customer service mindset; takes ownership of issues - Effective collaboration and knowledge-sharing across teams - Time management, prioritization, and adaptability in fast-changing environments - Continuous-improvement attitude, problem-solving, and radical candor - Ability to mentor colleagues and work independently or within a teamDecision-Making Responsibilities:- Evaluate proposed changes for user-experience, security, and operational impact - Escalate or seek guidance when risks are unacceptable - Recommend and guide best end-user solutions to meet business needs - 7 to 11 years of experience required to perform essential job functions.Preferred Skills:- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) - Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)Education and Certifications:- 4 Year / Bachelors DegreeWork location: Bengaluru
