Job Description

Purpose the Role:Manage complex electro-mechanical projects with specialization in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, firefighting/hydrant modifications, and MEP integration for industrial and commercial facilities. Ensure seamless execution from design to commissioning.Key Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end execution of electromechanical systems (HVAC, MEP, utilities, fire safety, DGs, Transformers, pumps, compressors) - Coordinate with Consultant, OEMs, contractors, and statutory authorities for design approval and execution. - HVAC System Management – Plan, review, and supervise installation of HVAC systems including VRF/VRV, AHUs, chillers, ducting, and ventilation to maintain thermal comfort and energy efficiency. - Interior MEP Integration – Coordinate MEP services (air distribution, fire sprinklers, lighting, cabling, and plumbing) with interior layouts and ensure proper installation within fit-outs. - Plumbing & Utilities – Oversee installation and modification of water supply, drainage, STP/ETP connections, and utility piping to ensure uninterrupted services. - Fire Hydrant & Fire Fighting Systems – Manage design modifications, installations, and testing of hydrants, sprinklers, pumps, and suppression systems in compliance with NFPA/IS standards. - Electrical Infrastructure – Supervise execution of HT/LT systems, cabling, DGs, transformers, UPS, and distribution panels ensuring load requirements and safety compliance. - Design Review & Validation – Review HVAC/MEP drawings, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and technical submissions for accuracy and compliance with codes. - Project Scheduling & Control – Develop execution schedules, allocate manpower/resources, track progress, and escalate delays for corrective actions. - Budgeting & Cost Management – Prepare project cost estimates, monitor budget utilization, and control project overheads through efficient procurement. - Vendor & OEM Management – Evaluate, finalize, and monitor vendors and OEMs for HVAC, electrical, and fire systems; ensure timely supply and installation of equipment. - Testing & Commissioning – Conduct functional testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems to verify performance and compliance. - Energy Efficiency & Green Practices – Implement energy-saving measures, evaluate system efficiency, and align projects with green building and sustainability standards. - Safety & Compliance – Ensure adherence to IS codes, IEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and local statutory norms while maintaining high HSE standards at site. - Documentation & Handover – Compile O&M manuals, warranties, test certificates, and as-built drawings for smooth handover to facilities/operations team. - Stakeholder Coordination – Work closely with consultants, facility managers, clients, and statutory bodies to resolve technical issues and ensure project objectives are met.Interpersonal competencies:- Strong quantitative skills. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams. - Verbal & written communication and presentation skills. - Aptitude & passion for both strategy formulation and program execution. - Organized and methodical. - Experience with developing and drafting process and system workflows. - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Advance Formulas & Functions. - Proficiency in ISO standards. - FM Industry & OEM’s connect. - Any certifications on FM, ISO would be added advantage.Qualifications & Experience:- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - Certification in HVAC/MEP/Project Management desirable. - 10–15 years’ experience in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, interiors, and electrical projects. - Strong knowledge of MEP system integration and commissioning. - Skill in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and cost control.Core Competencies:- HVAC & MEP system expertise. - Technical & Analytical Skills. - Cost & Contract Management. - Energy efficiencies & Green standard. - Stakeholder & Team leadership. - Risk assessment & safety compliance.
