This role requires a strategic HR leader who can partner closely with business heads, support organizational growth, and drive people-focused initiatives aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate should come with strong experience in HRBP roles within product/technology environments and experience supporting a growing engineering or product organization.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR PartnershipAct as a trusted advisor to business leaders in India and the US on people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.Align HR strategies with business objectives to support rapid growth and scaling of the India center.Drive organisational design, talent management, and succession planning initiatives.Talent & Performance ManagementLead end-to-end performance management cycles, including goal setting, reviews, calibration, and development planning.Identify high-potential talent and create structured development plans.Support business teams with capability building and skill development initiatives.Employee Experience & EngagementBuild a positive and inclusive workplace culture as part of the India build-out.Design and implement engagement programs, employee listening frameworks, and retention strategies.Handle employee relations and provide guidance on conflict resolution, grievance management, and disciplinary cases (when required).HR Operations & CompliancePartner closely with HR CoEs (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation & Benefits) to ensure seamless execution.Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and company policies.Support policy creation, implementation, and process standardization for the India office.Change Management & TransformationLead HR projects related to organizational changes, internal communication, and change management.Drive HR digital transformation and adoption of new HR systems/tools.Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementWork closely with US leadership teams to ensure alignment with global HR initiatives.Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, Admin, IT) for smooth India operations.Provide strategic insights based on HR analytics, dashboards, and employee trends.Required Skills & Experience10–15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 6–8 years in an HRBP capacity supporting technology/product teams.Proven experience working with senior leadership in a matrixed and global environment (preferably US HQ).Strong understanding of HR processes, performance management frameworks, talent planning, and organizational design.Expertise in Indian labor laws, employee relations, and compliance.Experience working in fast-paced, scaling environments (startup or product-based company preferred).Excellent communication, relationship building, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage ambiguity, drive change, and influence stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsMBA / PGDM in HR from a reputed institute.Experience working with early-stage offshore development centers.Exposure to HR analytics tools and modern HR tech platforms.
